Introduction


REA lets you build, report, split-test and manage review enhanced Google ads from within the Feefo Hub. Using our AI-powered sentiment analysis software, you can quickly and easily incorporate positive review snippets straight into your ad copy and run A/B tests against your existing ads to help boost click-through rates and reduce ad spend.  



REA is an additional feature which may not be part of your current Feefo package. Please speak to your Customer Success Manager or our Support team to find out how you can add Review Enhanced Ads to your account. 


Syncing your Google Ads account with the Feefo Hub 


This couldn’t be simpler. All we need from you is your 10-digit Google Ads Customer ID and we’ll do the rest. 


To find your Customer ID: 

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account 
  2. Click the help icon in the top right-hand corner 
  3. Find your “Customer ID” at the bottom of the menu 


How to build a Review Enhanced Ads campaign 


  1. Log in to the Hub and go to ‘Marketing’ on the left-hand menu and click ‘Review Enhanced Ads for Google’. 
  2. Click the “create new test” button to begin building your ad.


Selecting your ad 


When selecting which ad you want to test, you will be shown a mirror image of your Google Ads account containing all of your existing campaigns and ad variants.  


Optional: You can filter which ads you want to see by clicking the “Filter best performing ads…” box and choosing from one of the following: 


  • Click-through rate 
  • Cost per click 
  • Conversions 
  • Conversions rate


Select the ad, or ads, you want to test by clicking the corresponding check box. Then click “continue” in the bottom right hand corner. 


Building your ad content 


  1. Select which ad element you want to replace with your review snippet. You can choose between Headline 1, Headline 2 and Description. You may only select one element to replace per test campaign. 
  2. Choose your Feefo review snippet from the “Feefo reviews” menu. You can filter the snippets displayed by choosing either “All Topics” or a specific filtered topic based on the positive review themes selected by our AI tech e.g. Delivery. 
  3. Edit the text of your review snippet using the text editor tool in the “Finalise content” section. Headline 1 and 2 snippets must be 30 characters or less. Description snippets must be 90 characters or less. 
  4. Add your Feefo rating and/or number of reviews to your ad copy by clicking the “+ Rating” and/or “+ Number of reviews” buttons in the “Add additional content” section. 
  5. You can see a preview of how your new ad variant will appear to users in search in the “Preview” section. 
  6. Once you’re happy with the new ad you’ve created, click “continue” in the bottom right hand corner. 


Finalising setup


  1. Give your test a name by typing it into the “Test name” text box. 
  2. You can choose to either schedule your test to start at a specific time, publish straight away or create it as an automatically paused ad. 
  3. If you choose to schedule the start time, you can select the start and end date of the test using the calendar or check the “Test doesn’t end” box if you want to run the test continuously. 
  4. Check or uncheck the “Set affected ad groups to rotate evenly” box if you wish to run a fair and even A/B test. 
  5. Once you’re happy with the setup, click “continue” in the bottom right hand corner.  
  6. A summary of your current and new ad variants will be provided. Double check the content and the “breadcrumb” to make sure that your ad variant sits under the correct campaign. 
  7. If you’re happy click the “Save” button in the bottom right corner to set your ad test live. If you still want to make changes to your ad, click the “Back” button to return to the setup stage.
